SociaCue ("we", "us") is a social media content planning, approval and publishing service used by marketing agencies and their clients. The service is operated by Gregory Haralambous, trading as SociaCue, 20 Plane Crescent, Silverglades, Fish Hoek, 7975, South Africa. This policy explains what information the service processes and why. Questions? Email us at hello@sociacue.com.
Information we process
- Account information: your name, email address and password (authentication is managed by our hosting platform). If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your basic profile information with us.
- Access information: whether you are a manager (agency) user or a client user, and which client workspace you belong to.
- Client workspace data: workspaces created by your agency may hold client contact details (name, email, phone), brand preferences, and identifiers of linked social accounts (Facebook Page, Instagram Business account, LinkedIn organization).
- Content you create: posts, captions, hashtags, images and videos you upload, internal notes, comments, approval decisions and activity history.
- Social platform connections: when an agency connects a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) or LinkedIn account, the social platform issues authorisation tokens that we store server-side so the service can publish approved content on the agency's behalf.
- Notification emails: approval requests and reminders are sent to the email addresses set up in your workspace.
How we use information
We use the information above to operate the service: to sign you in, show you the content in your workspace, send you approval requests and reminders, and publish posts that have been approved — to the social accounts that were connected for that purpose. We do not use your content for advertising and we do not sell your information.
How information is shared
- Social platforms: approved posts are published to the Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn accounts connected in the service. Published content is then also governed by those platforms' own policies.
- Service providers: the service is hosted and supported by platform providers who process data on our instructions (e.g. hosting and email delivery).
- Legal requirements: we may disclose information where required by law.
Security and access control
Access to data is restricted by role: client users can only see the posts, media, notes and approvals of their own workspace, and drafts that are not yet shared with the client are not visible to them. Social account tokens are stored server-side and are only accessible to manager (agency) users. Access rules are enforced on the server, not just in the interface.
Data retention
We keep your data only while your account or client workspace exists. When you delete your account, or a workspace is deleted, the associated data is removed from the service as described in our Data Deletion instructions. Our hosting platform keeps short-term recovery copies of deleted records for a limited period (up to about 30 days) before they are permanently erased.
Your choices
- You can review and correct your profile and workspace content inside the app.
- You can delete your account and associated data — see our Data Deletion instructions.
- An agency can disconnect its social connections or delete a client workspace at any time.
- You can email hello@sociacue.com to request access to, or correction of, your personal information.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of South Africa. Nothing in it limits any mandatory rights you have under the consumer protection law that applies to you.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy we will update this page and revise the date above. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
